Waynad Kerala a place full of lakes, hills and valleys
Places to visit in waynad
Waynad is beautiful hill station in Kerala. It is almost 270 KMs from Bangalore. You can travel to waynad via bus, cab or your own vehicle. The route to Waynad touches Mysuru and if you want you visit Nanjanguda lord shiva temple as well. The route becomes very lovely after mysuru, its full of greenery and there will not be many shops/buildings. If you are traveling by own vehicle then use google map, it may take you into some small villages of Kerala. You will also cross the Bandipur and Mudumal forest on way so be prepared to start early as the forest closes by 9PM. Also there will be some entry charge (we were charged 500 rs for tamilnadu id).
Once you cross the forest you will start noticing the hills and you are in kerala.
While travelling through the forest you may notice elephants if you lucky but I am sure you see lots of deers, peacock etc. Tigers normally don't come towards road.

From mysuru, waynad will be around 5 hours journey by own vehicle. I would suggest to go there by CAB or Own vehicle as you might notice many small beautiful places which you would love to see.
